On May 30th, 2025, the University of Thessaly successfully organized the Multiplier Event of the IKIGAI55 project in Larissa, Greece. The event aimed to present the objectives, expected results, and upcoming activities of the project, which promotes active ageing, wellbeing, and community engagement for adults aged 55 and over. Participants included educators, researchers, local stakeholders, and older adults interested in contributing to or benefiting from the project’s piloting phase in Greece.
During the event, the UTH team introduced the concept of “Ikigai” as a pathway to meaningful and healthy ageing, highlighting the project’s emphasis on physical activity, lifelong learning, and intergenerational exchange. Attendees were also invited to express their interest in joining local knowledge-sharing and activity groups. The event fostered dialogue and collaboration, paving the way for the successful implementation of the piloting actions in the upcoming months.
